H&J SPEAKE SEE SIGNIFICANT BENEFITS SINCE CHANGING TO PETROFER’S RELEASE AGENT FOR PRESSURE DIECASTING

H&J Speake are a long established UK company based in Willenhall, West Midlands; with over 50 years of experience in providing aluminium and zinc pressure die-casting solutions (www.hjspeake.co.uk). H&J Speake were using die-release fluid from another supplier and experiencing significant problems with blocked spray nozzles on zinc die-casting operations.

They decided to run trials with Petrofer’s zinc die-release fluid, DIE-LUBRIC 33ZN.

The issues with blocked spray nozzles were immediately rectified and as time progressed other benefits were also noted:

• NO BROKEN CORES – Previously cores were breaking every 2 to 3 days.
• NO SLIDING TOOL BREAKS – Prior to changing to DIE-LUBRIC 33ZN, sliding tools were breaking on a daily basis.

After monitoring the performance of DIE-LUBRIC 33ZN closely for six months, H&J Speake Director, Paul Speake is satisfied that by changing the die-release fluid to DIE-LUBRIC 33ZN production downtime has been reduced by between 40 to 60% and costs of replacement cores and sliding tools has also reduced significantly.
