Products	Applicable types
PISTON LUBRICANT GF 1	A plunger emulsified oil type lubricant. It’s available through using deionized water for dilution. Dilution ratio should be set based on site working conditions.
PISTON LUBRICANT GF 3	A plunger lubricant for the application on automatic drip feeding pumps for horizontal cold chamber die-casting machines. The plunger temperature should not exceed 80 - max. 100°C.
PISTON LUBRICANT GF 7	Plunger lubricant of a new generation. PISTON-LUBRICANT GF 7 offers due to - some special additives - excellent anti-wear properties and a considerably longer piston life.
PISTON LUBRICANT GF 22	Like GF 3, but it has a higher viscosity to achieve slower distribution on the plunger surface.

To achieve maximum service life of plunger and shot sleeve on cold chamber die-casting machines, it is necessary to apply a plunger lubricant with best lubrication- and anti-wear properties.

The plunger lubricant has to fulfill two tasks:

It must avoid uncontrolled friction to guarantee a controlled plunger speed in order to obtain the for seen pressure build-up
It should avoid in the best possible way metal/metal contact (molten Al-alloy and steel of the shot sleeve.

Only extremely high plunger temperatures require the application of a graphited product.

For well temperature controlled (cooled) plungers, the application of non-graphited

PISTON-LUBRICANTS is recommended. They allow a much cleaner working area than graphited products.
